Below is some general information about Mrs. Gautreau's third grade homework expectations.
Reading
Students are expected to read 10-20 minutes each night. This reading may be done silently or aloud. Students are expected to fill in their reading log nightly. Poetry Power and/or a reading passage will be sent home each week as well.
Math
Students will generally have ten minutes worth of math homework each night. Optional Discovery Math will be sent home every Friday.
Spelling
Students will be encouraged to review the third grade priority words throughout the school year. An optional spelling/vocabulary challenge will be sent home every Friday.
Other
Occasionally, there will be some brief and fun at-home activities that will support thematic units.
